Habibie Razak is Regional Director Energy for Surbana Jurong Group in Indonesia and South-East Asia based in Jakarta.
Razak is a senior civil engineer and registered as a professional engineer of Indonesia, ASEAN, Asia Pacific & Australia. He is a fellow of Engineers Australia (FIEAust) and was also given Engineering Executive (EngExec) Credential by Engineers Australia in 2023. The Engineering Executive, or EngExec is a credential that recognises pre-eminent individuals in executive positions who have shown exceptional leadership and talent.
He has worked in a role of project management and project engineering over 20 years in various sectors comprise transport, energy (renewables, power & gas, fuels and energy transition), water & sanitation, environmental & social and urban & industrial transformation.
Razak has combined the experiences throughout project lifecycle from feasibility study, conceptual study, engineering designs all the way down to the execution of construction and EPC of the project.
Apart from his daily professional activities, he has also been assigned as International Certification Implementing Body (2024 – 2027) and was previously Executive Director (ED) of The Institution of
Engineers Indonesia (PII) (2021 – 2024). As ED, he was managing the engineering membership and various technical events such as seminars, conferences, etc. in various sectors in Indonesia. The technical program include the discussion on the energy transition & decarbonization which involves Indonesian stakeholders (government, industry/private sectors, SOEs and professional organizations).
