As we all know that we have entered the industrial era 4.0 which will soon become the industrial era 5.0
In this era there are many uncertainties known as VUCA, technology-based Artificial Intelligence began to reach the market in various forms of business in order to facilitate the adaptation to the changing times.
Then how is the role of Human Resources to continue to be honed and skilled in helping organizations or businesses to continue to be sustainable in the era of digital? On this occasion I will start with how HR designs Digital Organization Development. Let me explain from what I learned through experience working as a practitioner, research, studies and in discussion within HR local & global communities
Organization Charts should not be rigid anymore, they must be agile because agile has become a new people skill competency. The structure is no longer horizontal or vertical based but linear with rapid shaft changes according to market needs in adapting to achieve goals, vision and mission of the organization. In transforming an organization into digital friendly, Digital Transformation Division is created as a special division that will change and create a process of communication between internal stakeholders and between internal stakeholders and external stakeholders
As you can see from the picture of the organization chart below:
The output of this division will create a system in the form of apps or web-based that will facilitate business processes that are intertwined in performance and results
Other than that it is also to control or managed risk that could harm/further damaged towards profits and even bigger thing which human error such as taking wrong calculation of risk, taking wrong execution, etc.
Again as an HR have to be very pro-active to summons all necessary advises and actions to ensure the safe ecosystem of digital which I believe is the main factor is to switch people mindset to become Digital Mindset
